Insight CBT Masterclasses
These are usually two day presentations drawing on practitioners from across a broader geographical area.
Masterclasses are designed for those clinical psychologists, nurse or other professional cognitive therapist or psychiatrists treating complex cases. Psychosis characterised by delusional systematisation, command hallucinations, thought disorder, trauma, personality disorder or addiction require specific flexible approaches. Similarly prominent negative symptomatology with cognitive deficits has different CBT requirements. Such approaches are presented and practiced in the masterclass workshops. Here cases are presented more intensively and the various problems and roadblocks are highlighted and solutions from CBT are discussed. Various metacognitive and schema based approaches are described including the use of imagery, reliving and reintegrative approaches.
If requested integrative and cutting edge masterclasses can be presented by one CBT of Psychosis expert along with an expert from an allied CBT area. Such masterclasses could cover issues such as CBT and metacognition in psychosis, CBT and mindfulness in psychosis, CBT and compassion in psychosis, CBT and method of levels in psychosis, CBT and EMDR in Psychosis and other interface areas as they emerge.
